Ce dictionnaire se veut essentiellement pratique. C’est pourquoi on a choisi de classer les expressions selon un ordre purement alphabétique. À l’intérieur de chaque rubrique, les diverses locutions ont été regroupées de manière alphabétique, sans qu’il soit tenu compte de la nature grammaticale ou syntaxique des syntagmes incluant le terme d’entrée. Les registres de langue auxquels appartiennent les locutions sont également mentionnés.
Pour le simple curieux, comme pour l’élève ou le professeur ce dictionnaire est un complément indispensable aux dictionnaires des mots. Il offre un florilège de cet ensemble si riche et si vivant du lexique français que sont les gallicismes.

Demersul de faţă se doreşte a fi o încercare de redare a specificului lingvistic al unei zone ce se numea odinioară judeţul RǺMNICU SĂRAT (desfiinţat ἰn 1950).
O primă parte a lucrării este dedicată arhaismelor, acele cuvinte vechi, ieşite din uz, pe care le-am cules din cântece şi poezii străvechi, transmise pe care orală, de aceea forma acestora poate părea neobişnuită vorbitorului actual.
A doua parte a întreprinderii noastre cuprinde termeni şi expresii regionale, culese chiar de la oamenii locurilor, mai précis zona aflată în apropierea oraşului nostru (Puieşti, Dăscăleşti, Măcrina, Vâlcelele etc.).
